Bengals Wednesday Injury Report For Week 2
| Player | Injury | Wednesday |
|---|---|---|
Cam Sample | Ankle | DNP |
Chris Evans | Hamstring | Limited |
Joseph Ossai | Ankle | Limited |
Logan Wilson | Ankle | Limited |
Joe Burrow | Calf | Full |
Dax Hill | Hand | Full |
Edge defender Cam Sample (ankle) was the only Bengals player no not practice on Wednesday. Sample got his ankle caught underneath teammate DJ Reader whilst rushing Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson this past Sunday.
If Sample is on track to miss this week's game, that would put fellow edge Joseph Ossai (ankle) in the spotlight as he looks to make his return from an ankle injury of his own. Ossai was limited in practice, which is a big step forward after not practicing at all last week.
Linebacker Logan Wilson (ankle) and running back Chris Evans (hamstring) were also limited Wednesday. Wilson's injury makes it three separate ankle ailments Cincinnati is currently dealing with.
Quarterback Joe Burrow (calf) continues to practice fully as he works back to 100%. It may take some time before he looks like his regular mobile self in and out of the pocket
"We’re feeling it out,” said Burrow when asked about how comfortable he currently is rolling out and scrambling. Burrow strained his calf back on July 27.
Safety Dax Hill (hand) was also a full participant coming off his first-career start at the position he was drafted to play. Hill was Pro Football Focus' second highest-graded Bengals defensive player from Week 1 with a 74.4 overall grade.
