Kansas City Chiefs RB Isiah Pacheco posted a career day against the New York Jets on "Sunday Night Football" and one of his teammates knew it was coming before anyone else.

Pacheco reached a new single-game career-high of 115 rushing yards on 20 carries against the Jets. It came on the back of a 48-yard breakaway rushing touchdown, which was the longest rush in a single game in his NFL career. He also hauled in three receptions on three targets for 43 yards, the second most passing yards he's ever had in a single game in his career.

What enabled Pacheco to have such a game on Sunday night and how did Mahomes know it was coming? Well, it all has to do with the fact that Pacheco is a New Jersey native.

"I call him, 'Jersey's own,'" Mahomes quipped after the game. "He went to Rutgers. He played (high school football) in Jersey. He loves it. Kind of how I am with Texas, he has a lot of pride in it. I could see it from the first snap. I could see it in his eyes like this meant more to him, and he did a great job. Catching the ball. Running the ball. I haven't looked at the stats, but he put up great stats and he made some big runs when we really needed them."

Andy Reid might argue that the zone coverage from the Jets' secondary, really helped open up the running game for Kansas City on Sunday, but where's the fun in that? It's much more exciting to think that Pacheco was a man-possessed, working hard to put on a show for his friends and family in his home state. The Vineland, New Jersey native takes a ton of pride in where he's from and what he's been able to accomplish as a professional.

"It was a great feeling," Pacheco said of putting on for New Jersey. "(I've) never been in this stadium before. First professional real football game inside the stadium. Blessed to see my family here, supporting me, and not only that, (but to) get a victory."

Pacheco also crossed the 1,000-yard career rushing mark with his performance in Week 4. He became the 36th player in franchise history to go over the 1,000 career rushing yards mark and he's now the third active running back on the roster with over 1,000 career rushing yards.

This feels like it's only the tip of the iceberg for Pacheco and it gives defenses yet another thing to worry about when facing the Chiefs' offense.
