Just like last season, the Las Vegas Raiders are off to a rough start. They just cannot seem to stay in games until the last minute, and even then, they still find ways to lose. That's what we see on TV, though. Some other things that are more non-surface-level are wrong with this team.
Last season, we saw the Raiders get off to a 1-3, too, just like this season. However, they didn't win the first game and then lost three straight like the team did last year. They lost three straight and then won their fourth. However, both team's wins, the 2022 Raiders and 2023, in their first four games came by way of beating the Broncos.
Some things just never change.
They have some issues to fix, or maybe they don't want to, and they would like to start tanking. However, even if that was the route they decided to take, they still need to put out a product that shows some sort of competitiveness that fans will actually want to watch.
"It's really a multitude of things," Adams said when asked about their problems. "It's just being more urgent early on and communicating better so that we can execute. It's not one thing. It's not, 'Do this thing, and we'll be golden.' It's both sides of the ball. I just feel like we're not maximizing. Everybody can definitely tap into another gear. We've just got to do that before it gets to a point where it's a must-win every game."
It may be a little late for that, Davante; as if you still have playoff aspirations, every game from here on out is almost a must-win game. Hopefully, if they really want to make the playoffs, they get these issues fixed.
