The Tennessee Vols received some great news ahead of their game against the South Carolina Gamecocks last weekend.

2024 five-star offensive lineman Jordan Seaton canceled his official visit to Oklahoma and instead took an unofficial visit to Tennessee.

And that unofficial visit reportedly went extremely well for Seaton.

VolQuest's Austin Price, the premier Tennessee recruiting expert, joined 104.5 The Zone's Ramon, Kayla, and Will on Tuesday to discuss the latest happenings with the Vols. And Price pointed out that Tennessee "blew the roof off" Seaton's unofficial visit to Rocky Top.

"Tennessee leaves the weekend and they're a real player for Jordan Seaton," said Price. "Are they going to land him? Time will tell, too early to know. But they're a major player. Talked to multiple people nationally, people around his recruitment, and Tennessee blew the roof off his recruitment this weekend. Now, again, you gotta maintain and sustain the momentum you built. But you're getting him back here (at Tennessee) in a little over a month for the Georgia game for an official visit. That's a big deal. And that'll be another electric atmosphere. Tennessee's got a chance here."

Seaton, 6-foot-5/295 lbs from Washington DC, is ranked by On3 as the No. 7 overall player in the 2024 recruiting class and the No. 1 offensive tackle in the nation.

It certainly appears that this recruiting battle will come down to the very end — especially since Seaton's not taking his official visit to Tennessee until late November.

But it sounds like the Vols are very much in the mix to landed the elite offensive lineman — though anyone who follows recruiting knows that it's a fluid situation that could change at a moment's notice.
