A decision on Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow will not be made until right before Monday night's game against the Los Angeles Rams.
Per NFL Media's Ian Rapoport, Burrow will go through some kind of workout prior to the game to determine if he's able to go.
"The Cincinnati Bengals want to take a look at Burrow before the game. We'll see if it ends up being a workout and just have him run around a little bit but he has been feeling progressively better as we've gone throughout the week."
Burrow will be a true game-time decision for the Bengals after being listed as questionable in the team's final injury report from Saturday. Having an extra day of rest could end up working in his favor, but there are obstacles for him to overcome.
Rapoport also mentioned that if Burrow does get the green light, he's still going to be playing through pain "over the next several weeks," which isn't too surprising considering the injury.
It's been a long week determining what Burrow's status will end up becoming. That he ended up practicing for two days was a step in the right direction, but the Bengals will want to play this as smart as possible. They now have three quarterbacks behind him after signing AJ McCarron to the practice squad. They're hoping they won't have to play any of them.
Expect the next Burrow announcement to be made as game day inactives are unveiled.
