Cincinnati Bengals running back and kickoff returner Chris Evans will not play today against the Baltimore Ravens.

Evans, who was listed as questionable for this week's game with a hamstring injury, will not suit up according to NFL insider Jordan Schultz. Evans had missed Thursday's practice and was limited both Wednesday and Friday.

The implications of Evans' absence are clear. Cincinnati will rely on Trayveon Williams to rotate in with Joe Mixon at running back, specifically on passing downs, and Mixon might end up playing more snaps in general. Rookie Chase Brown is also expected to now make his debut as the team's third back in the rotation after being a healthy scratch last week.

On special teams, Evans will likely be replaced by rookie slot receiver Charlie Jones as the kickoff returner. Williams could also fill in here as well.

Evans is one of three Bengals players listed as questionable for the Bengals' Week 2 matchup against the Ravens. Edge defender Joseph Ossai and linebacker Markus Bailey are expected to be game-time decisions.
