During the Kansas City Chiefs' narrow win over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, something funny happened, and it is now a viral moment across the league.

Everyone on Twitter, or X, Instagram, and anywhere else saw the video of Patrick Mahomes throwing the ball to Donovan Smith, the left tackle, as he was getting sacked.

The viral moment came when Smith just caught the ball, stood there, and got tackled.

While, yes, Smith moving after the catch wouldn't have done anything anyway, as the play was called illegal touching because Smith is not an eligible receiver, he still could have done something so he didn't get tackled.

Chiefs offensive lineman Prince Tega Wanogho asked Donovan Smith on Instagram, "How you just stood there and get tackled? Do a spin or stiff arm, haha."

Smith replied to the comment with, "lmfao conservation of energy," with a bunch of laughing emojis.

So, now we have a little more context on why Smith just stood there. The funniest part is that Smith caught the ball really well, and after the way Week 1 went, everything was a bit funnier.
