The Cincinnati Bengals have elevated TE Tanner Hudson from the practice squad to the active roster for Sunday's game against the Tennessee Titans.
Hudson is classified as standard elevation. As a practice squad player being elevated to the active roster for the game, he will automatically revert to the practice squad on Monday.
This is the second week in a row Hudson has been elevated to the active roster. The 28-year old veteran was called up in Week 3 to play 36 snaps against the Los Angeles Rams in place for starter Irv Smith Jr.
As the offense's primary tight end for passing plays, Hudson saw four targets go his way and caught two of them for 30 yards against the Rams. With Smith still out with a hamstring injury, expect a similar workload for Hudson against the Titans on Sunday.
Hudson can now be a standard practice squad elevation one more time before reaching the three per player limit in a given season. If the Bengals need him for more than another week, they'll have to sign him to the active roster.
