Arik Armstead was questionable for the San Francisco 49ers' Week 13 game with the Philadelphia Eagles. The defensive tackle played, but ended up exiting in the fourth quarter with the same issue.

San Francisco crushed Philadelphia in a rematch of last year's NFC Championship Game, scoring touchdowns on six straight drives to power to a 42-19 victory at Lincoln Financial Field.

On defense, Armstead played a crucial role as the 49ers' D-Line did an excellent job of keeping Jalen Hurts in the pocket with a disciplined collective pass rush.

But head coach Kyle Shanahan revealed some reason for concern with Armstead when he disclosed the 2015 first-round pick left with the same issue that had sparked doubt over his availability.

Armstead, though, spoke to the media in a post-game press conference and moved to calm fears about the injury being something that will continually hinder him during the stretch run.

"I’ll get some treatment and be fine," Armstead said when asked about his injury.

Armstead is enjoying his finest season since the 2019 Super Bowl campaign, when he had 10 sacks. He has five sacks and four tackles for loss across the opening 12 games, forming a hugely disruptive interior defensive line partnership with Javon Hargrave.

If Armstead cannot play in Week 14 against the Seattle Seahawks, then Javon Kinlaw, who had two sacks against the Eagles, would likely step in as the starter next to Hargrave. The 49ers also have Kevin Givens and Kalia Davis, who registered a sack in his first career game on Sunday.
