It is hard not to like just about everything Miami Dolphins' HC Mike McDaniel does.
From the way that he runs a team with one of the best offenses in the league to always being his true authentic self, this guy continues to set the example on how a young head coach should act (or any head coach for that matter).
This is all extremely clear in the recent preview for Hard Knocks with the Miami Dolphins.
McDaniel has always been the type of guy that has plenty of cameras on him when he talks. Again, it comes back to McDaniel being a genuinely-goofy and down to earth guy when compared to the vast majority of his peers, and pairing a guy like this with some of the biggest names in the league on offense and defense was a no-brainer for Hard Knocks.
Jalen Ramsey and Tyreek Hill are always entertaining, and McDaniel is going to be a walking quote machine. The first tease from the show tells us as much.
While most people tend to focus on McDaniel being excited to have the cameras in the building, the much more revealing quote from this clip is McDaniel's genuine desire to not let the cameras change him.
That "authentic self" is a huge reason why the Dolphins have already been so successful this year. McDaniel is right that anything less than that would be unfair to the team and likely lead to negative results in the long run.
Whether changes actually happen still remains to be seen for now, but this is about as good a start as you could ask for from a guy that is one of the most charismatic in the league at his role.
Hopefully this is just a sign of more to come and more insight on just how well Mike McDaniel leads one of the bets teams in the league.
Dolphins are set to see a return of biggest battle on the team
The competition is going to heat up again.
