The New Orleans Saints have had their fair shares of struggles in the red zone this season. The offense just looks out of sync at times on the part of the field with quarterback Derek Carr in the game.
Their most consistent success in the red zone has come with Taysom Hill in the game, but his package isn't used much until they are inside the five-yard line.
Internet superstar and Fortnite legend 'Ninja' thinks that the Saints should take Derek Carr out of the game when they get into the red zone.
He sees the weekly struggles, clearly. The issues inside the twenty for Carr are not new, either. He had the same problems during his time with the Raiders.
The Saints knew that trend when they signed him to a four-year contract during this past offseason.
Ninja's comment came after a first quarter pick-six by Atlanta Falcons safety Jessie Bates. New Orleans had a ton of momentum, and that play completely flipped the script of the game.
Regardless, New Orleans probably won't go to a solely Taysom Hill-led offense inside the twenty. That's just not realistic, even if it is potentially the smartest choice for the offense's success.
The Saints trail the Atlanta Falcons, 14-9, at halftime in Week 12. They have not scored a TD in two trips to the red zone with Carr at QB.
