Just because you're a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers 53-man roster doesn't mean you'll be playing on gameday, even if healthy.

That's because the NFL limits teams to 46 active players on game day.

So with the context clear, here are the inactive players for today's matchup:

Steelers Inactive players:

No. 8 QB Kenny Pickett
No. 21 CB Darius Rush
No. 26 RB Anthony McFarland
No. 40 LB Blake Martinez
No. 60 T Dylan Cook
No. 92 DE Isaiahh Loudermilk

Colts Inactive players:

No. 6 WR Isaiah McKenzie
No. 28 RB Jonathan Taylor
No. 38 CB Tony Brown
No. 50 LB Segun Olubi
No. 55 DE Isaiah Land
No. 72 T Braden Smith
No. 95 DT Adetomiwa Adebawore

Observations:

The Colts have been more than competent with a backup QB this year, evidenced by their current position in the AFC playoff race

But part of their success was due to the two-headed monster in the backfield of Zack Moss and All-Pro Jonathan Taylor.

Well, Taylor is out for today's game, meaning the Steelers just dodged a huge bullet on defense and one they needed to when you analyze the recent play of Pittsburgh's LB corps.

We'll see if the Colts can push through, or if Taylor's absence will be too much to overcome.
