Philadelphia Eagles Pro Bowl cornerback Darius Slay made some comments about Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen that the national media needs to hear.

Somehow after the Bills' overtime loss to the Eagles, a game that Buffalo's defense lost, the national narrative is that Allen will be the reason the team misses the playoffs.

I'm not sure how you could watch the Bills' loss to the Eagles and have that takeaway.

And Slay shares that sentiment.

"He was doing his thing today," said Slay when asked about Allen after the Eagles' win. "I don't know why a lot of media give him a little bad talk because of turnovers. But you could see today, he threw the ball 51 times. I don't know a guy that can throw 51 times, 40 times a game, and expect not to turn the ball over. I know you want to take care of it, but you're throwing the ball 51 times, you're going to throw an interception. It's just going to happen."

Without Allen, the Bills aren't in that game against the Eagles. It's that simple. There's plenty wrong in Buffalo, but Allen isn't at the top of that list. And clearly his peers agree.
