Kansas City Chiefs second-year WR Justyn Ross is no longer facing criminal charges according to a new report.

KMBC reports that Ross is no longer facing criminal charges for felony criminal damage and misdemeanor domestic battery after a judge granted a diversion in his case on Wednesday, Nov. 22nd.

This means that a deal between the defendant (Ross) and the prosecutor (Johnson County District Attorney's Office) has been struck in which no charges will be brought against Ross. It's not clear at this time what type of deal was struck, but it could include things like anger management classes, probation, and community service.

Ross was arrested on Oct. 23 following a domestic disturbance involving a woman.

The wide receiver currently remains on the Commissioner's Exempt List. This development in his case doesn't necessarily mean that the NFL will remove him from the list.

The league will conduct its own independent investigation into the matter, which will ultimately be the deciding factor on when Ross returns and whether any sort of punishment will be levied against him for violations of the NFL's personal conduct policy.

Ross has appeared in seven games for Kansas City this season. He has 3 receptions for 34 yards on the year.
