The Carolina Panthers continued a busy week with a roster move Wednesday afternoon.

Carolina added veteran guard Gabe Jackson to the practice squad, in a move that could indicate the team is eyeballing adding an offensive lineman after a flurry of o-line injuries on Sunday.

The move was first reported by Adam Schefter.

Jackson started 130 NFL games in his career.

He is out of Mississippi State University. In 2014, Jackson was drafted in the 2014 NFL draft by the then-Oakland Raiders. He went on to start 99 out of 100 games.

In 2020, Jackson was traded to the Seattle Seahawks.

The timing of the signing suggests the Panthers were looking to replace Austin Corbett and Brady Christensen, who have been lost for the season due to injury.
