The Indianapolis Colts (7-6) are hosting the Pittsburgh Steelers (7-6) for their Week 15 matchup.

With the playoffs in sight, this game is crucial for both teams.

And if the Colts want to come away with the win, they will have to break a daunting losing streak to the Steelers.

Coming into this matchup, the Colts have lost eight straight matchups against the Steelers, with their last win coming 15 years ago in 2008. To put that into perspective, here were the Colts stat leaders in that game.

  • Passing:
    • Peyton Manning: 21/40, 240 yards, 3 touchdowns
  • Rushing:
    • Joseph Addai 12 carries, 34 yards
  • Receiving:
    • Reggie Wayne: 6 catches, 114 yards, 1 touchdown
  • Sacks:
    • Dwight Freeney: 2 sacks
  • Interceptions:
    • Tim Jennings, Keiwan Ratliff, Melvin Bullitt: 1 interception
  • Kicking:
    • Adam Vinatieri
  • Punting:
    • Harrison Smith
  • Returning:
    • Pierre Garcon

For whatever reason, the Steelers have had the Colts number ever since that game. As I said earlier, they have now won the last eight matchups between the two teams, and the Colts will be hoping to end that streak this week.

Both teams currently find themselves inside the AFC Playoff Picture as the Steelers are the 6th seed, and the Colts are the 7th seed. With the race so close at the moment, a win for either team could go a long way for both team's chances of earning a playoff bid.
