The Tennessee Vols received a prediction on Monday to land a coveted defender in the NCAA transfer portal.
247Sports' Collin Kennedy and 247Sports' Chris Hummer both predicted on Monday that Tennessee will land Oregon State cornerback transfer Jermod McCoy.

McCoy is a former four-star recruit from Texas (Whitehaven) that is coming off a promising true freshman season at Oregon State.
The 6-foot/180 lb cornerback totaled 31 tackles, seven pass break-ups, and two interceptions in 2023.
Most true freshmen cornerbacks never see the field. But McCoy managed to not only see action as a true freshman, but he also put up some solid numbers.
If the Vols land McCoy, they'll be getting an instant-impact player. And that's important with Tennessee losing multiple defensive backs to the transfer portal this offseason.
Auburn, Texas A&M, Ole Miss, Arkansas, USC, Colorado, West Virginia, Florida, and Oklahoma are among the programs that have offered McCoy.
