After weeks of speculation, Tennessee Titans fans finally have some clarity on Mike Vrabel's status in Nashville.
The Titans fired Vrabel on Tuesday, ending a six year run that included three trips to the playoffs and two AFC South division titles.
Tennessee decided to move on from Vrabel after the Titans went 6-18 with a limited roster in his final 24 games as the franchise's head coach.
The decision to fire Vrabel caught running back Derrick Henry, a pending free agent, by surprise.
"Wow. Wow. I'm shocked," said Henry in a statement to The Athletic's Dianna Russini. "Coach Vrabel is a leader of men. He is a great coach and teacher. I know he will get another opportunity right away. I look forward to it."

Vrabel, meanwhile, is expected to be an in-demand candidate for open head coaching jobs, which currently include the Los Angeles Chargers, Washington Commanders, Carolina Panthers, Atlanta Falcons, and the Las Vegas Raiders.
