The New York Jets received some very good news prior to their primetime game against the Cleveland Browns.

Amari Cooper will be inactive for Thursday's game, multiple sources report.

Cooper is dealing with a heel injury and while there was a hope that he would be able to play, he reportedly "didn't feel right in warmups." He has not participated in practice all week.

This comes after Cooper finished last week's win over the Texans with 11 receptions for 265 yards and two touchdowns. He also set a single-game record of receiving yards in that game.

Because of that, Cooper was named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week.

So now, Flacco will be without one of his top targets, which is key for the Jets defense.

And this is very bad for the Browns who have the opportunity to clinch a playoff spot tonight with a win. And even more so, they still have a chance to get the top seed, but only if the Baltimore Ravens lose out.

So far this season, Flacco has 72 receptions for 1,250 yards and five touchdowns.
