Things went great in Week 17 for the Cleveland Browns outside of one scary situation.

Wideout Elijah Moore took a tough hit off the ground to his head and immediately stayed down. Moore could be seen shaking and that’s made it even scarier.

Head coach Kevin Stefanski revealed on Friday that Moore had to spend the night in the hospital following the injury. Moore is now at home in concussion protocol.

Moore is expected to be okay and his status going forward will be something to monitor. The Browns have 10 days off before they play the Cincinnati Bengals in the final week of the regular season. With the playoffs clinched, the Browns could opt to rest starters in the final game depending on whether or not the Baltimore Ravens win in Week 18. If the Ravens lose, the Browns will be alive for the No. 1 seed in the AFC.

Cleveland was already thin at wide receiver with Amari Cooper not playing due to a heel injury. Cooper is expected back next week if the Browns play the starters, otherwise, he could get another week of rest.

Despite the injury in the second quarter, Moore still made a nice impact against his former team. The third-year wide receiver totaled 61 yards on five grabs and had a score.

The good news for Cleveland is that Moore is okay in what was a tough situation to watch.
