The Green Bay Packers defense has received good news ahead of the Minnesota Vikings game on Sunday Night Football. Safety Darnell Savage is back from a shoulder injury after two games and is officially active for the game in Minnesota. He's expected to start alongside Rudy Ford.

And two other defensive players who were listed as questionable are also good to go: defensive tackle TJ Slaton, who had knee and foot injuries, and cornerback Robert Rochel, with a neck issue, are both active.

The only questionable player who won't be available is rookie wide receiver Dontayvion Wicks, who's handling chest and ankle injuries.

Rochel's availability is particularly important because the Packers won't have Jaire Alexander, suspended for conduct detrimental to the team, and Eric Stokes, placed on injured reserve because of a new hamstring injury.

As expected, all doubtful players are inactive: off-ball linebacker De'Vondre Campbell (neck) and wide receiver Christian Watson (hamstring). Besides them, the other doubtful players were tight end Luke Musgrave (kidney), running back Emanuel Wilson (shoulder), and offensive tackle Luke Tenuta (ankle), who are still on injured reserve and won't play in spite of being designated to return.

Packers inactives:

WR Christian Watson
WR Dontayvion Wicks
LB Brenton Cox Jr.
