Just because you're a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers 53-man roster doesn't mean you'll be playing on gameday, even if healthy.

That's because the NFL limits teams to 46 active players on game day.

So with the context clear, here are the inactive players for today's matchup:

Steelers Inactive players:

  • QB Mitch Trubisky
  • S Trenton Thompson
  • CB Darius Rush
  • S Minkah Fitzpatrick
  • LB Blake Martinez
  • OT Dylan Cook
  • DE DeMarvin Leal

Ravens Inactive players:

  • QB Lamar Jackson
  • WR Odell Beckham
  • LB Malik Harrison
  • CB Marlon Humphrey
  • G Kevin Zeitler
  • WR Zay Flowers
  • S Kyle Hamilton

Observations:

With Pickett officially off the inactive list, he will return to the active roster for the first time in over a month.

But unlike the last time we saw him on the field, should all go to plan, Pickett will be holding a clipboard instead of spinning the pigskin after he was benched by HC Mike Tomlin earlier this week

Tomlin and the team don't want to take the ball out of Mason's hands, as they believe their best chance at getting into the postseason and beating the Ravens starts will feeding the hot hand of Rudolph.
