The San Francisco 49ers' interior defensive line is in better shape than it was in Week 15.

San Francisco confirmed its inactives for the Christmas Day clash with the Baltimore Ravens, with defensive tackle Javon Hargrave not among them.

Hargrave missed the NFC West-clinching win over the Arizona Cardinals with a hamstring injury, but the 49ers will have him available for their toughest test of the season.

49ers Inactives

Inactives observations

Hargrave's return is made all the more important by the 49ers continuing to be without fellow starting defensive tackle Arik Armstead, who is set to miss a third straight game with foot and ankle injuries.

The 49ers gave up 234 yards on the ground without both Armstead and Hargrave, and it is imperative the latter does not allow the same thing to happen against Lamar Jackson and Co. in this battle of 11-3 teams. Hargrave will likely start next to Javon Kinlaw. T.Y. McGill has once again been promoted from the practice squad.

Defensive end Randy Gregory will play despite being listed as questionable with an illness on Christmas Eve.

Armstead's absence, along with those of Oren Burks (knee), Jauan Jennings (concussion) and Ross Dwelley (ankle), was already confirmed.

Running back Elijah Mitchell (knee) had been questionable but will miss a third successive game, with Jordan Mason again set to serve as the main backup to Christian McCaffrey and Jeremy McNichols the third-stringer after being signed from the practice squad this week.

Cornerback Samuel Womack was not listed with an injury designation, but he misses out as Jason Verrett, promoted from the practice squad, prepares to make his first appearance in over two years.
