The Cleveland Browns, never one to rest on their laurels, made a slight roster move Tuesday morning.

Cleveland signed punter Matt Haack to the practice squad, Mike Garafolo reported.

The reason for the singing is Corey Bojorquez is dealing with a quad injury he suffered against the Houston Texans.

The move indicates that Haack could be putting for Cleveland against the New York Jets on Thursday.

Haack's signing coincides with the Christmas Day practice squad signing of kicker Riley Patterson.

Cleveland may be routing out a fully backup kicking operation merely a few short days removed from Christmas.

But in a season of miracles, who would expect anything different from these Browns?

Bojorquez is in real danger of missing Thursday's game, which will prove consequential for Cleveland with a chance at securing a playoff bid on the line.

Against Houston, Cleveland was forced to go for it on nearly every fourth down.

The Jets' defense is a bit more formidable than the Texans. If the Browns hadn't turned to viable backup options, controlling its fate would have been 10 times harder come Thursday.

However, several aspects of Thursday's line still have to be decided. That information will only come in the following days.
