The New York Giants fell in a matchup with an NFC East rival in Week 16. The Philadelphia dominated the first three quarters, but Tyrod Taylor replaced Tommy DeVito in the second half, sparking a bit of a comeback.
In the end, it was not enough as New York lost by eight. Tommy DeVito struggled mightily in the first half, and it seems like Taylor may be his replacement as the team's starter for the rest of the season. DeVito had some strong statements on what he has learned from the situation after the game.
“They’re always going to find someone to replace you whatever it is.”
DeVito's comments came off as a bit offended that New york m made a QB change, but it was necessary. The offense was not moving the ball effectively before the swap.
He completed 9 of 16 pass attempts for just 55 yards. DeVito totaled just five yards on the ground, too.
Overall, his comment regarding business in the NFL is an accurate one. He was not getting the job done for New York, and he did not in Week 15, either. His struggles had continued for six quarters straight. Finally, Brian Daboll had to make a decision.
Expect Taylor to get the start in Week 17 for the Giants. He gives them their best chance to win, even if their main focus should be the 2024 NFL Draft and offseason.
What does Tommy DeVito’s sauce company mean towards the future of his NFL career?
I wonder what’s better, his sauce or his future.
