The trade deadline is almost here and things are already starting to heat up as the Titans have shipped off their All-Pro S in Kevin Byard to the Philadelphia Eagles, which could be the start of a fire sale in Tennessee.

With that being said, Brandon Beane needs to pick up the phone and see about the availability of WR DeAndre Hopkins. In case you don't remember, Buffalo was linked to Hopkins this past offseason and things had reached a fever pitch when Buffalo was listed as one of the top landing spots.

From Hopkins saying he wanted to play with Josh Allen, to Brandon Beane mentioning Hopkins by name, things were heating up quickly and it looked like the team might actually get it done. Obviously, the Titans swooped in for a rather shocking decision, ending the Bills' chances at the talented receiver.

Things aren't off to a fantastic start for Hopkins with his tenure on the Titans as he's just not getting the ball enough and the team isn't winning games. Through six games played this season Hopkins has 27 catches for 376 yards and no touchdowns. To put that into perspective, Gabe Davis currently has 22 catches for 347 yards and four touchdowns.

With his low-cap hit for a team acquiring him via a trade, Buffalo makes so much sense here. Greg Tompsett from Cover One took to X, formerly known as Twitter to share the same sentiment. Side note: Greg is a salary cap wizard and definitely worth a follow if you're not already.

This past offseason, Buffalo brought in some reinforcements to the receiver room in Deonte Harty and Trent Sheffield. Mix that in with the thought of Khalil Shakir stepping up, Dalton Kincaid taking up some slot positions, and Gabe Davis taking the next step in his development and everything on paper seemed to be right as rain.

With Buffalo struggling on offense, the perfect solution would be to bring in a talented receiver to give Josh Allen yet another dominant weapon on offense. Pairing Allen with Diggs and Hopkins would prove to be a nightmare matchup for opponents, and allow Hopkins some breathing room as most likely teams would be focusing on trying to lockdown Diggs.

Brandon Beane needs to pick up the phone and make a call just to see what it would take to get Hopkins off the Titans' hands. If nothing else, just do his due diligence. Regardless of how you feel about Ken Dorsey and the current state of the offense, bringing in a talented receiver is never a bad thing and Hopkins would undoubtedly help out this unit.
