All is quiet on the trade front for the Cleveland Browns right now but that can change at any moment.

Cleveland is expected to be interested in a couple of positions at the deadline if the right deal becomes available. The Browns could use depth at both running back and along the offensive line.

To get there, Cleveland will likely have to deal a draft pick or two. Going forward, the Browns are pretty well set with draft ammunition thanks to the job that general manager Andrew Berry and his team have done. Following the next draft, Cleveland will not owe Houston any more high selections from the Deshaun Watson trade, either.

Cleveland has an extra fifth-round pick from trading quarterback Joshua Dobbs to the Arizona Cardinals. The Browns have an extra sixth-round pick from a 2023 draft trade. Finally, the Browns have an extra seventh-round pick from a pick swap they made with the Atlanta Falcons for linebacker Deion Jones last season.

Cleveland will have an extra sixth-round pick from the pick swap that went down with the Minnesota Vikings for defensive end Za’Darius Smith.

The draft capital is there for the Browns to make a deal that fits exactly what they’re looking for if one comes about.
