While there are two losses on their record through six games, the Seahawks look like they are in a prime position to compete for the top spot in the NFC West after the 49ers dropped a pair of games on their own, and Seattle looks like they can take the next steps as the clear favorites over the Browns this weekend.
If Seattle is close to 100% as their most recent injury report indicates and the Browns continue to miss their starting quarterback, the Seahawks would have to play pretty bad this weekend to take a step back towards .500.
While no one wants to jinx anything, the Seahawks look like they could be as close to 100% as they have been this season given the recent injury report:
If Lockett and Adams play this weekend, it would be the best team Seattle has fielded all season, and they may not even need that much firepower to beat a lucky Browns team.
Cleveland is 4-2 and has the best defense in football right now, but their being in such control of their destiny at this point of the season comes as a surprise given their lack of a true QB1 right now.
The Seahawks have strung together some extremely impressive wins this season despite playing from behind due to their most important position, but that should end this weekend.
This isn't the Colts or the 49ers without all of their best weapons. Cleveland would have to go into Seattle with PJ Walker and out-duel Geno Smith while also overcoming a sneaky-good defense to come away with their third-straight unlikely win. That just doesn't seem like it is happening.
The Browns have surprised a lot of people so far this year, but it seems like the special season for Cleveland could come to a close this weekend if this injury report is any indication and the Seahawks are able to live up to the expectations they have built over the past few weeks.
