Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown revealed the message that he sent to freshly acquired All-Pro safety Kevin Byard as he welcomed him home to the "City of Brotherly Love."

"I told him you’re a winner now," Brown told reporters. "You’re a winner now. Things are done differently around here. But enjoy it and just get up to speed. But he’s a great player. He won’t have no trouble to adapt."

Brown's words were a clear dig at the Tennessee Titans, where he and Byard had spent three seasons together (2019-2021) before ending up in Philly.

The Titans have struggled since Brown's departure from the team during the 2022 offseason.

They went 7-10 and failed to make the playoffs last fall. They're on the same track this year with a 2-4 record heading into Sunday's Week 8 matchup against the Atlanta Falcons.

Meanwhile, the Eagles were crowned NFC Champs last season and are currently one of two teams who are 6-1. They'll look to improve that record when they take on the Washington Commanders with Byard in their lineup.

“This is my eighth season and I’m feeling really good, coming off a bye week, too,” Byard said during his first interview as an Eagle. “I’m definitely feeling fresh right now. This team has a great culture and I’m just looking to add to that. It feels good to wake up 6-1.”
