This week's game is a must-win game. That is all there is to say. The New York Giants are 1-5 with no potential. If there is any hope for the future, the team needs an amazing offensive win in Week 7.
New York plays Washington on October 22 at Metlife Stadium. If Daniel Jones plays, he currently holds a 5-1-1 record when playing the Commanders. That's obviously a great sign, as this organization needs a win. A division game, playing at home, in the 1:00 p.m. ET slot, what more could a Giants Fan ask for?
Well, an offensive touchdown of course.
But in all seriousness, the Commanders are 3-3, but they haven't played the dominant teams the Giants have -,except for the Buffalo Bills. The Commanders suffered a 37-3 loss against the Bills, whereas, the Giants only lost 14-9. New York can win this game. And not only win: they can dominate and put some passion back into the fan base.
If New York wants any hope back in the season, the fans need some evidence of wanting to win. New York needs to have an offensive explosion on Sunday. If Chicago can do it against this team, anyone can. With Jones questionable for this game, New York needs protection from this strong front seven in Washington and keep their quarterback safe.
In addition, running back Saquon Barkley needs to have a better game. His speed and versatility were shown in the fourth quarter against Buffalo, but this needs to happen regularly and early on Sunday. Lastly, get Wandale Robinson, and Darren Waller more involved, and show that their talent can and will defeat defense.
New York fans have given up on the season, New York has sold all of their chances this season. Giants football needs to be played like winning Giants Football.
