The Colts have officially placed Richardson on the IR, meaning he will miss at least the next four weeks as the team figures out the best way forward with their rookie QBs path back to the field following this bump in the road.
The team will now be without their rookie QB for at least the next four games, but it could be even longer. One outcome could be the team holding him out beyond the 4-6 window and waiting till after their bye week, which would see Richardson return for the team's Week 12 matchup vs the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
We will likely get more info in the coming weeks as the team gets more answers on Richardson's injury and what exactly will be required during his rehab process. While he is sidelined, the team will turn to backup Gardner Minshew who was the QB for at least a half in all fo the Colts three wins this season.
