San Francisco 49ers fans loved the way in which George Kittle celebrated their primetime beatdown of the Dallas Cowboys, but the NFL clearly didn't think highly of his antics.

The league, per ESPN's Adam Schefter, is considering fining Kittle for revealing a t-shirt that read 'F*** Dallas* as he celebrated a touchdown during San Francisco's 42-10 victory over the Cowboys.

Under the NFL's fine schedule, personal messages incur a fine of $10,297.

That is markedly less than the fine the inspiration for the shirt, former 49ers linebacker Gary Plummer, was threatened with when he wore a shirt bearing the same message before the 1994 NFC Championship Game.

Plummer told Jennifer Lee Chan of NBC Sports Bay Area that the NFL, having learned about the shirts he had made, vowed to fine him $50,000 if he wore one on the field. He avoided that sanction by simply wearing one on the steps of the baseball dugout through which the Niners entered the Candlestick Park field before the game.

Kittle, who after this year still has two years remaining on a five-year, $75 million contract, is unlikely to be impacted a great deal by a fine of a little over $10k.

But it could influence his future decision-making, the tight end having responded to criticism from Cowboys edge rusher Micah Parsons by saying he would pull the same stunt again.

The four-time Pro Bowler was the star of the show on offense for the 49ers against Dallas, catching three touchdown passes from early MVP favorite Brock Purdy.
