Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni shared a few injury updates on Friday ahead of their Week 6 matchup against the New York Jets.

For starters, cornerback Darius Slay is expected to miss Sunday's game with a knee injury, though his injury is nothing too serious and he should be back in the lineup by Week 7 vs. the Miami Dolphins.

"If he does have to miss this week, we don’t anticipate it being a long-term thing," Sirianni said on Friday.

The same can be said for rookie defensive tackle Jalen Carter, who popped up on Thursday's injury report after suffering an ankle injury in practice.

"We had a little injury in practice Wednesday, which you saw in the injury report," Sirianni said

"…Again, we’ll let you know about what’s going to happen and his status for this week, but I don’t see it as something keeping him out very long."

On a brighter note, it's looking like starting linebacker Nakobe Dean (foot) will be activated to the 53-man roster for Sunday, which the team is very excited about.

"He’s looking like he’s going to be there," Sirianni said, "and we’re excited about that as a football team."

The Eagles will release their official injury report form Friday's practice later today.
