The New Orleans Saints will kick off game action for themselves on Saturday, August 10th, against the Arizona Cardinals.

The Saints have a plethora of position battles ramping up, including starter at kicker and edge rusher. The offensive line is a work in progress when it comes to Week 1 starters as well. The preseason will play a big role in how the Saints roll out their roster to begin the regular season.

There's plenty to keep an eye out for, but how can you catch the game? During the preseason, viewing is a bit limited. Get the details below.

How to watch New Orleans Saints vs. Arizona Cardinals

  • Date: Saturday, August 10, 2024
  • Time: 7 p.m. CT
  • Location: State Farm Stadium (Glendale, AZ)

TV: FOX 8 | GRAY TV (WVUE FOX 8 locally)

  • Announcers: Joel Meyers (play-by-play), Jon Stinchcomb (color analyst), and Erin Summers (sideline reporter)

3 players to watch

Jamaal Williams

The veteran running back is currently the RB2 on the depth chart with Kendre Miller out with injury. A strong game on Saturday could help him secure that role to begin the season. Alvin Kamara is the clear starter for the Saints, but Williams' role in the red zone could especially provide value for New Orleans.

Jordan Howden

The Saints brought in Justin Simmons this past week for a visit. Clearly, they are open to adding safety talent, even if they are not aggressively targeting it as a position. Howden is a projected starter right now, but I think we will see a bit from him in the first preseason game. He needs to impress.

Kyle Hergel

Hergel is playing in his first professional football game. It's also the first pro football game he's ever been to in his life. He's vying for a depth spot along the interior offensive line, and his past week of practice was impressive. We will see if that transitions to some in-game action.
