The Minnesota Vikings are set to take on the Las Vegas Raiders on Saturday afternoon at U.S. Bank Stadium. It will mark the first time the Vikings take the field in the 2024 season. It's also the first time the Vikings will have to honor cornerback Khyree Jackson in a live game.
The team will have patches honoring Jackson along with the coaching staff wearing pins but rookie edge rusher Dallas Turner took things a step further. During warmups, Turner wore a t-shirt honoring his former teammate.
Turner wasn't just a teammate of Jackson's in Minnesota. They spent two seasons together at Alabama in 2021 and 2022. They formed a bond in Tuscaloosa and were in the same draft class as well this past offseason.
There will be many more homages to their fallen teammate and this from Turner is just the beginning.
