The Detroit Lions are not done adding players this weekend. ON Saturday the team signed former fifth-round pick Jamarco Jones to help with their offensive line depth issues and on Sunday the Lions signed linebacker Abraham Beauplan.

Beauplan went undrafted out of Marshall in the 2023 NFL Draft and signed with the Minnesota Vikings. Beauplan had two really strong preseason perfromances before getting injured and being waived with an injury settlement in early September. The Vikings still brought him back in January to join their practice squad and then signed him to a futures deal after that. He was waived after the first week of camp.

Making the Lions' 53 man roster will be an uphill battle for him at the linebacker spot that already has so much talent ahead of him, but he could potentially play well enough to make the team's practice squad this season.

To make room the Lions had to waive promising offensive lineman Connor Galvin who played very well on Thursday before suffering a season ending injury. The Lions also moved Nate Lynn to season ending IR. Two tough losses.
