Tyreek Hill always seems to find himself at the top of lists.  Most receiving yards, yards per game, and touchdowns (the latter tied with Mike Evans) in 2023.  First-team All-Pro.  Potentially the top receiver in the ongoing NFL Top 100 list.

And now, the Miami Dolphins' superstar reached the top of another list – one that no Dolphin has reached before – the 99 club in the popular EA Sports Madden football game.  Hill achieved a 99 overall ranking, the highest possible ranking, in the upcoming version of the game.

Hill got a recorded video welcome from former New York Giants QB and two-time Super Bowl champion Eli Manning.

"You're one of the most electrifying players in football, and you proved that again this past season," Manning said.  "119 receptions, 1800 yards, 21 touchdowns (note: it was actually 13; 21 is his total over the last two seasons), and a 99 speed rating."

Inside the case, EA Sports provided Hill with a 99 overall rating pendent and necklace, which Hill donned.

"I'm gonna make everyone jealous with this one," Hill quipped.

"First 99 club.  This is absolutely the greatest day of my life – or the second greatest.  Well actually, the third greatest."

Hill has been the best wide receiver in the entire NFL over the last two seasons.  238 catches for 3509 yards and 21 total touchdowns.  As such, the award is more than deserved.

While Hill has said that his primary individual goal this season is winning playoff games – as it should be – and focusing on what the team needs to do in order to win games, he also didn't rule out the possibility of reaching 2000 receiving yards for the first time in NFL history.

Regardless of whether not he reaches it, Hill is unquestionably one of the top two receivers in the league, and he might not be second.  EA Sports apparently would agree.
