It looks like Tennessee Vols redshirt freshman quarterback Nico Iamaleava has spent some time this offseason working with a well-known quarterback guru's training company.
Iamaleava posted a video to Instagram on Wednesday that shows him working extensively with 3DQB training.
3DQB training is a company that focuses on helping quarterbacks via functional strength and conditioning, mechanics and motion analysis, mental and emotional management skills, and nutrition.
The company was co-founded by former USC pitcher Adam Dedeaux and well-known motion performance expert Tom House.
House has worked with numerous NFL quarterbacks over the years, including Tom Brady, Drew Brees, Alex Smith, and Carson Palmer.
Matt Ryan, Matthew Stafford, and Jared Goff are some of the quarterbacks that have offered positive reviews of 3DQB.
It's clear that Iamaleava is working hard this offseason to continue to improve various aspects of his game as he prepares to take over as the starting quarterback in Knoxville this fall.
Vols head coach Josh Heupel said earlier this week during SEC Media Days that Iamaleava has approached the offseason with an "urgent" attitude.
"He’s been urgent in everything that he’s done since he got back after the bowl game," said Heupel when asked about Iamaleava at SEC Media Days. "He’s had a great summer continuing to build timing and rhythm with our wide receivers, getting on the same page before we get into training camp. And obviously excited to see him grow throughout the course of training camp.”
Tennessee kicks off the 2024 season on August 31 against Chattanooga.
Tennessee Vols HC Josh Heupel deserves a lot more credit than he’s getting for how he’s handled major offseason storyline
Heupel hasn’t received any credit at all
