The Detroit Lions will get training camp going into full swing this coming week. Rookies reported this past Saturday and vets will join them on Tuesday. Not everyone is good to go right away though. Four players will be missing the beginning of camp.

Brian Branch, Marcus Davenport and DJ Reader will start camp on the physically Unable to Perform list and rookie Giovanni Manu will start camp on the Non Football Injury list.

Branch showed up after the draft on a scooter and in a boot. Lions head coach Dan Campbell talked at the time about Branch getting something cleaned up and that he would be ready for camp. He's recently been working out, so that's a good sign that his absence won't be long.

Reader suffered a torn quad last season and he's, as expected, still healing from that. Davenport had an injury during OTAs. This could be related to that. Not much is known about Manu's injury. By not much, we mean nothing at all.

There shouldn't be any high level of concern about any of these players making these lists. It was pretty expected.
