Stetson Bennett admits what everyone who watched him has known
Stetson Bennett is paving a new path. He appears ok with that.
Stetson Bennett knows he is a different person and quarterback since his time at Georgia.
He appears accepting of it. On an episode of the Unreserved with TJ Callaway podcast, Bennett revealed he isn't trying to be the quarterback he was at Georgia. He is merely attempting to be a productive NFL contributor.
"It’s a question of moving on from that because you got all these years to live and to go do other things to be successful at, to work hard at. You can’t just hang your head on that,” Bennett said. "But, it was pretty special."
Bennett was definitely placed on the reserve/non-football illness list last season. Later on, he revealed that he took time away from the Rams for his mental health.
Before his jump to the NFL, Bennett helped the Bulldogs win two College Football Playoff National Championships. He was the two-time Offensive MVP for the national championship teams, including the 2022 Georgia team, which had an undefeated 15-0 record.
Bennett has been far from perfect, but he seems to finally be on the right track.
