Ryan Day and the Ohio State Buckeyes just wrapped up a massive recruiting weekend with over a dozen important recruits on-site. Some were already committed to Ohio State. Others haven't committed anywhere just yet, but are nearing their decision. And one high pedigree star looks like a prime flip candidate. Tavien St. Clair (the Buckeyes five star quarterback recruit) and Tarvos Alford (top tier four star LB recruit) were there trying to help to sell their fellow recruits on Ohio State as well.
The entire month of June will be important for Ohio State Buckeye recruiting, but this weekend might have been the single most important set of visits for the entire cycle. Let's dive into a few of the top flip and possible commit candidates who were just on campus.
Top Ohio State Flip Candidate
Anthony Rogers, 4 Star Running Back
We just talked about Anthony Rogers here recently at A to Z Sports as a potential flip candidate and the buzz is continuing to build. Rogers is an elite productive speedster at running back currently committed to Alabama, but he's likely going to be back again for another visit with Ohio State soon!

Dakorien Moore, 5 Star Wide Receiver
No other wide receiver recruit is more highly coveted in 2025 than Dakorien Moore. He's been special since before he even entered high school and has been a consensus five star for more than two years now. Ohio State seems to have gained ground this weekend and could lock him up as an excellent sequel to Jeremiah Smith here soon.
Vernell Brown III, 4 Star Wide Receiver
As the Buckeyes do, they always have a top tier four star recruit or two in the mix. He does still have visits to Florida, Miami, and Florida State lined up in the next month, and he is from Florida, so pulling him north may be tough. Tavien St. Clair made it clear that bringing Brown in was his top priority this past week at the On3 Elite Series, but we'll see if that's enough.
Daylan McCutcheon, 4 Star Wide Receiver
One of the fastest rising wide receivers in the nation, McCutcheon put up wild numbers last fall (almost 1500 yards and 20 TDs). He can add incredible yards after the catch and finds weak spots in zone with veteran-like savvy. He may not be as highly rated as some recent Buckeyes wide receiver recruits, but he could work into the rotation if he does commit.
Bo Jackson, 4 Star Running Back
With a name like Bo Jackson he has to be good right? Absolutely. It's going to be a hard fought recruiting battle for him down to the last minute, but Jackson is currently predicted by multiple experts (Steve Wiltfong of On3 included) to pick the Buckeyes.
He's still considering both Georgia and Alabama (official visits sandwiched around this week's with Ohio State), but if the running back tandem of Quinshon Judkins and TreVeyon Henderson go off this fall that might seal his deal.
Justin Hill, 4 Star Edge Defender
We will know very soon if this past weekend's recruiting event was enough. Hill is committing July 3rd and will be choosing between Ohio State, Alabama, Oregon, and USC. He has incredible speed and athleticism for an edge who could fit multiple roles in Jim Knowles' complex defense.
Riley Pettijohn, 4 Star Linebacker
Riley Pettijohn announced his final four this week and Ohio State is reportedly a fun favorite to steal him away from the state of Texas now. Given how developed he already is Pettijohn could immediately slide into a near every down role for the Buckeyes. Unreal talent with even higher potential given his frame and length.
