It's no secret that a lot of players, coaches, and even front-office people around the league don't like Denver Broncos head coach Sean Payton. Some of it has to do with some of the things in his past, some have to do with the fact that he was basically working in the media not long ago, and some of it is that he is cocky but backs it up.
However, no matter how much you hate him, you can't hate what he has done for the high school coaches in the state of Colorado – one of the more classy things you will see in this league from any head coach.
The Denver Broncos have done this a few times now, most recently this year and last year, when they invited a ton of high school coaches from around the state to watch Sean Payton construct his OTAs during the summer.
This is a phenomenal opportunity for the coaches to learn from someone who has not only been a head coach in the NFL for a while but also an opportunity for them to learn from a guy who has had a lot of success in the league, including a Super Bowl with the New Orleans Saints.
“This is a phenomenal opportunity for coaches to come out and really get to see things done the right way," one coach said.
The coaches also have the opportunity to connect and network with others, as some of them are also trying to eventually get to where Payton is one day.
This is about as cool as it gets from Payton. There aren't many coaches, if any, in the league who would do this. He is a stand-up guy for doing that.
Broncos expert thinks what Payton is doing differently is difference maker
The Broncos changed more than just their staff and system. They are going to do things a lot differently.
