It's no secret that Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is a die-hard fan of the Dallas Mavericks. We've seen it time and again during the NBA season and NFL offseason, with him making appearances at the Mavericks' games, especially during the playoffs. It's a part of his identity as a Texas native, proudly sporting the teams he grew up rooting for.

He has been to several playoff games, and with the NBA Finals starting on Thursday, there is a chance the MVP quarterback could be at some of the Finals games as well—that is if his busy offseason schedule doesn't interfere, as mandatory minicamp is coming up soon.

When he is at these games, he is almost as passionate as he is during his NFL games. You will oftentimes see him up and yelling on the sidelines, and sometimes, he is nearly on the court as he gets carried away, rooting for Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving.

Recognizing his immense fandom, the Dallas Mavericks cleverly harnessed one of Patrick Mahomes' greatest strengths. They leveraged his influence to deliver a powerful pre-game speech, preparing the team for the NBA Finals. Their hype video for the NBA Finals is narrated by none other than Mahomes.

Take a look at the video here:

This is super cool, and we know that Mahomes is a huge hoops fan. He has even advocated for Kansas City to have its own NBA team. What makes this even cooler is the fact that the Boston Celtics, the other team in the NBA Finals, had Tom Brady do their video.

It's fair to say the two NFL goats are supporting their teams.
