The New Orleans Saints need a bounce back campaign in 2024. The lack of a postseason berth in 2023 turned the heat up on Dennis Allen. Now, he and the veterans of the Saints roster must lead them back to the playoffs.

The black and gold got a key update for preparation of their 2024 season on Tuesday.

The Saints know who their first two preseason opponents will be in 2024.

According to Nick Underhill, New Orleans will face the Arizona Cardinals and San Francisco 49ers to begin their preseason slate.

Both opponents come from the NFC West. The Arizona Cardinals were one of the worst teams in football in 2023, while the 49ers represented the NFC in the Super Bowl.

Arizona does look improved from a personnel standpoint, and both teams will provide some good reps for the Saints and their depth. Expect to see plenty of starters play a fair amount of snaps in both matchups.
