The Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills have a strange history of being connected in the NFL draft, and the latest NFL schedule news could prove to be the next chapter in the story.

According to Bleacher Report's Jordan Schultz, the Chiefs will face the Bills in Week 11 of the 2024 NFL season at 3:25 p.m. CT on Sunday, Nov. 17. Of course, this is a highly-anticipated game between two AFC rivals who happen to have the top quarterbacks in the league, but the most intriguing storyline actually might be between each of the team's top draft choices.

Chiefs-Bills 2024 NFL draft trade will come into full focus in Week 11

The Buffalo Bills traded back with the Kansas City Chiefs in the 2024 NFL draft, allowing their rival to move up to pick No. 28 and select Texas WR Xavier Worthy. Buffalo moved out of pick No. 32 and into the top pick of the second round and selected Florida State WR Keon Coleman at pick No. 33. As a result, these two players will forever be connected. They'll have the first shot at proving their respective teams right in Week 11.

This is no different from the Chiefs jumping ahead of the Bills in the 2022 NFL draft to select Trent McDuffie. It left Buffalo to select Florida CB Kaiir Elam. One player turned out to be an All-Pro cornerback (McDuffie) and the other hasn't been able to play well enough to stay on the field. You could even go as far back as the Patrick Mahomes trade to show how these have been connected through decisions and trades in the NFL draft.

This really feels like the perfect juncture in the schedule for this type of matchup to come into focus. They'll have the bulk of the 2024 NFL season under their belt ahead of this game. They'll either be entrenched in the NFL system and thriving, or they'll have hit the dreaded rookie wall.
