Quarterback Cam Newton had his favorite target in Carolina Panthers tight end Greg Olsen.

However, Newton recently revealed that outside of Olsen, Ted Ginn Jr. was his favorite pass-catching target to throw the ball to.

“Ted Ginn,” he replied when asked about how his favorite receive was on the 4th and 1 podcast. “Ted had a very high IQ. And I don’t think he was ever featured like he was featured during the Carolina Panthers days because he scared so many people with his speed. And you couldn’t overthrow [him].”

Ginn was one of Newton's most reliable receivers when the team was contending for NFC South titles.

He was on the Super Bowl-appearing 2015 squad. During his two years on the roster, Ginn recorded 2,047 yards and 19 touchdowns.

Ginn was one of the fastest receivers to ever suit up for the Panthers. Turns out he was one of the most underrated as well.
