2025 four-star quarterback Madden Iamaleava, the younger brother of Tennessee Vols quarterback Nico Iamaleava, hasn't announced his college commitment yet, but a decision is nearing.

And it looks like a leader is emerging for the California native.

UCLA and Nebraska have long been considered the two programs at the top of the list of Iamaleava. And with the home stretch of the 2025 recruiting cycle getting closer, it appears that UCLA is the team to beat for the No. 11 quarterback in the nation.

"It feels like UCLA leads for the Warren standout and it would be a splash commitment for coach DeShaun Foster and his staff," wrote Rivals.com national recruiting director Adam Gorney this past weekend.

Iamaleava previously noted that he grew up in southern California rooting for UCLA over USC.

"Growing up, I was more of a UCLA guy than a USC guy,” said Iamaleava to 247Sports. “I wanted to be different and I liked the colors, too."

Staying close to home is likely an attractive option for Iamaleava. And it's hard to see Nebraska doing enough to beat the Bruins in this recruiting battle because of the distance factor. Unless another major program gets heavily involved this summer, it feels like it's going to be UCLA for Iamaleava.

The expectation is that Iamaleava will announce his commitment this summer before the start of his high school senior season.
