The 2024 NFL Draft is sure to be an intriguing one. The first round has all of the eyes on it, and the quarterback class is getting plenty of buzz. Los Angeles Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh continues to stoke that fire.

He's often praised Michigan Wolverines QB J.J. McCarthy as a top QB in this class. No shocker there – he was his coach before taking the Chargers' HC position.

That being said, he made more comments recently to back up his sentiment. Harbaugh says that McCarthy "plays QB the best of all the QBs" in this year's draft.

It's clear that Harbaugh thinks his former signal-caller is NFL-ready and would love for a team to trade up for him.

Los Angeles is not in the QB market as they have Justin Herbert. That being said, a team trading into the top four would basically guarantee the Chargers any non-QB in the class.

The top three picks are expected to be quarterback picks as well with Caleb Williams, Drake Maye, and Jayden Daniels.

Harbaugh also mentioned how well McCarthy deals with adversity.

He believes that he has special instincts and plays the best when the lights are brightest.

Harbaugh clearly has confidence in his former QB. Now, he will need to focus on helping his new QB in the draft.
