While NFL free agency is off in the rearview at this point, the Pittsburgh Steelers aren't done yet.

Per Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, Pittsburgh has agreed to a one-year contract with former Philadelphia Eagles WR Quez Watkins:

What Does it Mean?

A sixth-round pick in 2020 by the Eagles, Watkins recorded 98 receptions, 1,249 yards, and six touchdowns during his tenure in Philadelphia. A vertical stretch player in a slightly larger package (6-0, 193), Watkins presents a similar skillset to what the Steelers have in Calvin Austin III.

And while Watkins has shown the propensity to make dynamic plays, he's no WR #2 on the team, as his usage is closer to a third or fourth-best option.

That tells me that Watkins and Austin will be battling for the spot, with recently signed WR Van Jefferson not too far behind in terms of the way the depth chart shakes out.

If nothing else, Pittsburgh adds 4.3 speed to a WR corps that lacked easy explosion, making this a solid signing in my opinion.
