Former Philadelphia Eagles free agent wide receiver Quez Watkins has found a new home in NFL free agency.

According to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, Watkins is signing with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Nearly three weeks have gone by since the start of free agency and it's no surprise that Watkins was still sitting on the Eagles' list of URFAs before the Steelers decided to make a move.

Watkins, who was selected by the Birds in the sixth round of the 2020 NFL Draft, appeared to be a great pick … until he wasn't.

He had a solid rookie season and built off that in 2021 and through the start of the 2022 season before completely falling off the wagon.

In his final year with the Eagles, Watkins appeared in just nine games where he caught 15 receptions on 20 targets for 142 yards and one touchdown.

Possibly his biggest mistake that Eagles fans will never forget was his big-time dropped pass late in the game during Super Bowl LVII, which could have sealed the victory against the Kansas City Chiefs.

He leaves Philly after having tallied 98 career receptions for 1,249 yards and six touchdowns through 49 games.

There's a chance that Watkins could revive himself in Pittsburgh with a fresh start — and considering the Steelers lack wide receiver depth behind George Pickens.

But he won't be missed in Philly as the Eagles had already replaced him by signing DeVante Parker in early free agency.
